Guide To Creating A Profile
First you need to access your profile. This can be done by clicking \"Profile\" in the top right of any page of the forum. Next you need to scroll down to a box that says signature. Now you could just type \"I love Hockey\" or something here but wouldnt it be nice to add some colour or a picture ?. To add colour to some text, simlply type the following into the signature box: code:Hello This is my signature!
This would come out as:
Hello this is my signature!
You can change the colour by typing a different colour instead of \"red\".
You can change the text that's displayed by typing something else where I have typed \"Hello this is my signature\".
Important - note the american version of \"color\" and also there is a \"/\" in the final \"tag\". Don't miss those out otherwise your signature won't work.
Now you might want to add a picture.
You first need to find your picture. This can be on your computer or it can be on another website. I recommend you save the picture you wish to use on your desktop (right click it and \"save picture as\").
Uploading Pictures!
First get your picture on the desktop:
Note how this picture is going to be too big for a signature. We're going to have to resize it, but don't worry - it's very easy!
Now navigate to www.imageshack.us . This is an image host which will give you a link to your image so you can view it wherever you are.
Now click \"browse\", select the file and click \"open\".
Here we have resized the image. Use any of those options which will reduce the image to a sensible size for a forum. Note how there is a cunningly sized \"avatar\" option which is a perfect size for... an avatar.
Make sure you tick the two boxes then click \"host it!\"
Now when the next page loads, scroll down a bit and select \"hotlink for forums (1)\". Copy and paste this into the signature/avatar area of your profile.
Finally, scroll all the way

And click \"submit\".
Avatars
For your avatar, you can choose your own image, or select an image from the gallery.
To use your own image, follow the guide above but instead of using \"hotlink for forums (1)\", just use \"direct link to image\" and paste this link in the avatar boc at the bottom of the profile screen.
